about.
This project brought together two major pieces of work for WRI India: designing their conference proceedings and building a thematic visual system that could stretch across various branding materials.
For the thematic design, I worked with a strict grid-based approach. The grid became the backbone - every shape, illustration, and colour decision was built on top of it. This made the system easy to scale, break apart, and reformat into different rectangular layouts without losing its structure. The visuals were kept intentionally simple: flat illustrations made from basic geometric forms, echoing WRI’s focus on clarity, structure, and impact.
Once the theme was locked in, it was adapted into mockups like tote bags, standees, and digital banners to show how it would function in real-world event settings.

Alongside this, I redesigned the conference proceedings. This included laying out content cleanly, placing images accurately, and creating infographics that made the presentations and discussions easier to understand.
Together, these pieces created a visual language that feels structured, adaptable, and in sync with WRI India’s work across cities, energy, climate, and land systems - turning complex ideas into design that is organised, accessible, and easy to scale.
